Fly by Knight is honored to have participated in Vault25 NYC, the inaugural martial arts summit hosted by TsángWǔGé @tsangwuge . This historic first year marked a new chapter in traditional Kung Fu, uniting masters from five distinct lineages.

At Fly by Knight, we have long focused on body awareness within martial arts culture. With “Structure” as the central theme of Vault25, we found deep resonance—physiologically speaking, all styles share the same foundation. This event explored the essence of Jin — the internal force that emerges through correct structure. It’s more than technique; it’s an integration of body awareness, kinetic transformation, and cultural philosophy.
At the seminar, we witnessed instructors from different systems exchanging insights openly and sincerely, united by a shared belief:To share what’s truly interesting, effective, and trainable in martial arts.
For this special occasion, Fly by Knight created custom Thorough Loops jackets with embroidered school names for each of the masters. Through the language of clothing, we joined the dialogue—showcasing that martial arts is not just a technical tradition, but a living embodiment of aesthetics and bodily culture. We believe Kung Fu can be cool, stylish, and a bridge that connects across styles and across the world.
Our deepest thanks to Vincent Mei for his invitation and leadership, and to the entire TsángWǔGé team for their commitment to innovation rooted in tradition. This was not just a gathering—it was a repositioning and ignition of martial culture.

Training with our lives, influencing lives through martial arts.
Each session of practice and every act of transmission allows the body to speak — and the world to listen.
When beautiful people and meaningful endeavors connect, a ripple begins to move thDouglas Adam Fergusonuglas Adam FergusonDoug’s heartfelt storytelling about his documentary on New York’s martial arts underworld was truly moving. Five years ago, he began documenting what he saw as the fading of martial arts. Now, he’s beginning to witness new possibilities emerging.
Vincent launched Tsang Wu Ge (藏武閣) with remarkable leadership and dedication. Three years ago, Daniel and I began Fly by Knight Design (夜奔) — turning our vision of martial arts and culture into action.
We’ve seen devoted practitioners of traditional martial arts working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this gathering to life. This time, it became a beautiful combination — a true celebration of martial spirit.
With Bedohave’s belief that “Change starts from me,” we’re witnessing the gradual formation of an ecosystem that weaves together Eastern culture and somatic aesthetics.
A system that can endure, evolve, and inspire the next generation —
Every movement, every breath, devoted to the Way of Martial Arts.
It’s not about “youthfulness” for the sake of transformation
— (too often, it’s just a group of older people discussing how to appear young).
In a VUCA world, what we truly need is a commitment to refined quality.
Aesthetic and style become our weapons — as we enter an era where emotion and beauty define the economy.
From a Daoist perspective, it’s not merely about holding on to each other in hardship (xiang ru yi mo) or competing to be the one true martial lineage.
The martial arts and cultural world must stop seeing only themselves.
Instead, as Zhuangzi said, “better to forget each other in the rivers and lakes” —
let go, and rise into greater perspective.
With thoughtful design, vision, and influence, traditional martial arts can remain rooted in their core philosophies and training — while forging new paths to engage the world.
We hope to share the original essence of Huaxia culture, with martial arts as the heart, and open the door to infinite future possibilities.
